About the bonus track “UPDATE” on the cassettes by Rikinish
It’s been about two years since the release of “Everyday.” Thanks to this opportunity, I got to release the cassettes of “Everyday” again. I felt this project got updated in a sense since I mixed and mastered all the tracks again and it got a new cover and rebranded by 感傷唱片行 Kind of Blue Records. I listened to all the tracks over and over again and paid close attention to each track while mixing and mastering them. During this process, I found some changes in my state of mind compared to that time. And yet, realized multiple things that have never changed and should never change. And this realization is also a part of the update because I think I might have not looked back on that time and reflect on those times without this chance.

And there was a beat that I made when I was making the album. Therefore, I decided to use the beat and make a song with a refreshed mind. During these rough times, the world is changing dramatically and we humans are required to update not only technology but also how to think, sense of value, and in all the fields. Even if we are under this chaotic situation, we got to stay calm and update things that need to be updated.

カセット限定ボーナストラック「UPDATE」について
今作 「Everyday」は最初のリリースからおよそ2年の時を経て、このようなご縁があり、カセットを再度リリースさせていただけることになりました。そして、再度全曲のミキシング、マスタリングをし直し、作品が新しいデザイン（顔）になりUPDATEされたような感覚になりました。

アルバムを聴きなおしてみると、自分の心情の変化や、音楽的にもアップデートしたところが多いと感じました。それと同時に自分の音楽、考え方の変わらないもの、変えるべきじゃないものというものも再発見しました。その再発見自体も自分の中ではアップデートで、この機会がなければ振り返って、深く考えることはなかったかもしれない。

そして、ちょうどこのアルバムを作った時と同じような時期に作ったビートでいつか使いたかったビートがあったので、これを機会にそのビートを使って、新たな気持ちで一曲作りました。コロナウイルスによって、世界情勢が急激に変化しているこの一年で、私たちは今の時代に合ったテクノロジーだけではなく、価値観、考え方など全ての分野でアップデートしていく必要があると思います。そして、このようなカオスな状況の中でも冷静にアップデートすべきものはしていきたいものです。
